RFID Reader 88 is an integrated fixed UHF RFID reader with a built-in 12 dBi linear polarised antenna. It has an adjustable read range of up to 15 m and a write range of up to 6 m. It is housed in an IP65 enclosure for indoor or outdoor mounting, which suits gates, entry lanes and large areas where tags cannot be brought close to a reader.

What Is RFID Reader 88?
Reader 88 combines the UHF reader and a 12 dBi linear polarised antenna in one flat 405 × 405 mm panel. Because the antenna is built in, there is no separate antenna to mount or cable. It reads multiple EPC Class 1 Gen2 (ISO 18000-6C) and ISO 18000-6B tags, with frequency hopping (FHSS) and RF output adjustable from 10 to 30 dBm.
Its range sets it apart: up to 15 m, compared with more than 4 m listed for Reader 85. Its IP65 rating means it can be mounted outdoors. For a single long-range read point, Reader 88 is simpler to install than a multi-antenna set-up. When one location needs several antennas, the 4 Port RFID Reader is the alternative.

How Reader 88 Fits Into an RFID Solution
