Payment Gateway Integration for Websites, Portals and Business Applications

Online payments connected to your orders, members, bookings and accounts.

BSD Infotech integrates payment gateways into websites, web applications, member portals, e-commerce and booking systems, and connects the result to the rest of the business: payment status, receipts, reconciliation and, where required, accounting in Tally. Definition

What Is Payment Gateway Integration?

Quick answer: payment gateway integration connects a website or application to a payment gateway so that customers can pay online, and so that the application reliably learns whether each payment succeeded and updates the order, booking or member account automatically.

Adding a “Pay now” button is the easy part. The real work is what happens around it: creating the payment with the correct amount and reference, verifying the gateway’s response on the server, handling payments that fail or stay pending, issuing receipts, processing refunds, and reconciling what the gateway settled with what the application recorded. That is where BSD’s software and integration background matters.

Gateways

Payment Gateways BSD Has Integrated

BSD has experience integrating the following gateways. The right one depends on the business’s bank relationships, payment methods, fees and whether international payments are needed.

GatewayTypical fit
Razorpay, PayU, Cashfree, Paytm, CCAvenueIndian businesses accepting UPI, cards, net banking and wallets, depending on the gateway and account
ICICI, HDFCBusinesses using their bank’s own payment gateway
Stripe, PayPalBusinesses that need international card payments, subject to their merchant account

BSD is not a payment gateway provider and is not presented here as a partner of these companies. Each business opens its own merchant account with the gateway it chooses; BSD integrates that account with the application. *Payment methods available depend on the gateway and the merchant account.

Process

How a Payment Integration Works

1

Payment created

Amount and reference generated by the application.

2

Checkout

The customer pays on the gateway’s checkout.

3

Server verification

The gateway response is verified before anything is updated.

4

Status update

Order, booking or dues marked paid, failed or pending.

5

Confirmation

Receipt and email, SMS or WhatsApp notification, where configured.

6

Reconciliation

Gateway settlements matched with application records.

Scope

What BSD Covers Beyond the Payment Button

Refunds & cancellations

Refund and cancellation workflows tied to the booking or order rules.

Reconciliation reports

Reports that compare gateway transactions with application records.

Primary and alternate gateways

A second gateway configured as an alternative, where the business wants one.

Receipts

Automatic receipts that members or customers can view and download.

Accounting

Receipts and payments posted to Tally where required, through BSD’s Tally integration.

Existing applications

A gateway added to an application or website that is already running, subject to access and assessment.

Security

Security in Payment Integrations

Integrations are designed so that card and bank details are entered on the gateway’s checkout and handled by the gateway, rather than stored in the application. Payment responses are designed to be verified on the server, using the gateway’s signature or status check, before an order or account is updated, with gateway keys kept on the server rather than in the browser. Compliance obligations such as PCI DSS belong to the gateway and the merchant; BSD does not claim PCI certification.
